Doogee launches Doogee X5 Max / X5 Max Pro

Doogee Malaysia has launched the company’s latest entry level smartphone known as Doogee X5 Max in the Malaysian market. In order to meet different market demand, Doogee has released the standard version and another variant with higher specifications namely Doogee X5 Max Pro.

In Doogee X5 Max, we can see the combination of basic components with some advanced features that users are looking forward to when they are searching for their new smartphone.Over the past few years, consumers slowly can accept lower end smartphones because Chinese smartphone manufacturers such as Doogee are capable of making high-quality performance for an affordable price. For instance, the Doogee X5 Max is one good example of low price smartphone that is capable of offering decent performance.

Despite being made out of plastic, the Doogee X5 Max comes with metalized frames for better resistance which is easier to hold the device single-handedly. Its body dimension measures at 14.15 x 6.97 x 1.04 cm and weighing in at 145 grams.The X5 Max sports a 5.0 inches IPS screen that offers 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution which is equivalent to approximately 294 pixels-per-inch of pixel density. Sporting a higher pixel density screen on a budget handset shows that Doogee always aim to offer the best they have to their customers.

Under the hood, the X5 Max is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK6580 Quad-core processor paired with a Mali-400 MP GPU. For the memory options, Doogee X5 Max offers 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage. On the other hand, Doogee X5 Max Pro is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in memory. Both devices support expandable storage for up to 32GB with a micro SD card.

Out of the box, this handset is running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system that ensure better software compatibility compared to some of its competitors which are still using obsolete software. It is worth highlighting that this device also comes with Dual ID System feature that allows user to log into two Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts at the same time.For the photography department, Doogee X5 Max sports a decent 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash support that has the pixel size of 1.34 μm matched with f/1.8 aperture lens. It is capable of taking nice and clear pictures during your daily use. The front camera features a 5MP snapper that has a 1.4 μm pixel size with f/2.0 aperture which can take decent selfie shot as well.

For those who are worry about lower end smartphone do not come with proper security protection, prepare to be amazed by what Doogee X5 Max has to offer. Doogee added a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel of Doogee X5 max to add extra security protection to the device. This feature normally found on high-end devices, but Doogee understood the importance of security feature for smartphone therefore implemented it into the X5 Max. The fingerprint sensor support 360-degree identification and up to five fingerprints can be saved. Apart from unlocking the screen, the fingerprint sensor also comes with additional functions too such as lock up a particular app that require fingerprint recognition to unlock etc.

Another selling point of the Doogee X5 Max lies on its battery. Unlike most lower-end smartphones that are equipped with low capacity battery that fail to last for a day, Doogee X5 Max packed by a 4,000 mAh massive size Ion-Lithium battery and supported with Android Marshmallow Doze feature is able to last for 2 and a half days with regular use, 20 hours on a continuous call, 46 hours playing music and none less than 20 days on standby.

This smartphone also comes with dual-SIM capabilities that supports 3G network. Its other connectivity includes  WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The Doogee X5 Max and X5 Max Pro are now available in Malaysia through authorised retail outlets at RM299 and RM459 respectively.
