Marriott International is extending its global partnership with Universal Music Group to Asia Pacific today, announcing an exclusive 400-guest concert headlined by multi-platinum rock band, Imagine Dragons, at the new Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park on September 8th. Imagine Dragons has captured audiences worldwide with chart-topping songs such as Believer (63+ million YouTube views) and enjoys great popularity in Asia, performing to sold-out crowds in Greater China, Japan, Korea and Australia. This concert kicks off the celebration at the iconic new landmark hotel that marks the flagship brand’s first distinct Marquis designation in Asia Pacific.
In addition to attending an hour-long performance by Imagine Dragons, Marriott Hotels fans and members of Marriott’s award-winning loyalty programs, Marriott Rewards, which includes The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, and Starwood Preferred Guest, are able to redeem points for once-in-a-lifetime experiences on the Moments platforms that include a VIP band meet-and-greet.
Imagine Dragons fans who are unable to attend the concert in person, will still have a front row seat experience as several songs performed will be livestreamed globally on Marriott Rewards’ Facebook page. Behind the scenes content will also be filmed, showcasing preparation for the concert, including select behind-the-scenes footage of the band that will air exclusively on digital and social and in-room channels. Imagine Dragons has won two American Music Awards for Favorite Alternative Artist, a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance, five Billboard Music Awards, and a World Music Award.
“The introduction of this first Marriott Marquis designation in Asia-Pacific is a real differentiator for our flagship brand and signals its growing footprint worldwide.
