It’s official! The legendary band that brought “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” and “Open Arms” is coming to Malaysia for the first time in the band’s history.  Hailed as the pioneer of the arena rock sound, IMC Live Group is proud to present Journey to their fans and music lovers from near and far this 11th February 2017, at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam.

This mandatory stop is the band’s tribute to the mega following and demand, right here in Malaysia. The concert is part of an epic tour and celebration of their illustrious career: the Journey 2017 World Tour.

The lineup is nothing short of stellar, with Neal Schon (founding member and lead guitarist), Ross Valory (original member and bassist), Jonathan Cain (keyboardist), a special reappearance of seasoned member, Steve Smith (drummer) and Arnel Pineda (lead singer).

Philippine-born, Arnel Pineda is no stranger to the scene. His talent was brought to the world’s attention after Neal Schon discovered him performing in the Philippines with his band, on YouTube, and asked him to join Journey. Pineda has certainly brought new dynamics and colour to the band with a charisma that rocks entire stadiums. Since joining Journey as its new lead singer in 2007, the band has released two albums and embarked on seven major tours, performing on four continents for more than five million fans.

Since its formation in 1973 in San Francisco, Journey has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, earning 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums, and has headlined multiple sold-out stadium tours. The Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times-Platinum, bringing Journey into the elite club of Diamond-certified award holders.  Journey received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and recently earned a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

The voice of a generation, Simple Plan is returning to Malaysia for their “Taking One for the Team Tour Kuala Lumpur 2016.” This tour comes on the back of their newly released studio album “Taking One for the Team” – the French-Canadian pop punk band’s fifth since their formation in 1999.

Made up of Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), David Desrosiers (bass, backing vocals), Sébastien Lefebvre (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Jeff Stinco (lead guitar), Simple Plan has cranked up the volume and returned with something new up their sleeves.

Although they are known for their pop punk attitude and anthemic rock songs, with this new album, the group wades into new waters. From a reggae style, feel good number like “Singing in the Rain” featuring R. City to a personal, heartfelt ballad like “Perfectly Perfect,” the band has used this new album as a chance to branch out and make music a little outside of their comfort zone.

After 17 years as a group, the five friends have shared so much. Over those years, they have had the time to grow and mature with their music. Simple Plan has continued to stay true to themselves, writing spirited tracks that advocate being yourself no matter what. It could be said that they are taking their own advice, as they continue to allow their music to lead the way, not allowing others’ expectations to shape it.

This tour promises to bring Simple Plan in a big way. Refusing to stagnate and give in to predictability, the band has kicked it up a notch and their passion to make music their fans can relate to is undeniable. Join them in the celebration of their new album this 7^th September 2016 live at KL Live. Fans will get a chance to rock along to new tracks and sing along to their favourite Simple Plan classics.
