In celebration of Oh!K’s 5^th birthday, Oh!K and Astro have invited I Live Alone host, Sung Hoon to Malaysia on Saturday, 19 October, at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from 5pm onwards for a public fan meet-and-greet. The event will offer a string of K-experiences including group photos and hi-touch opportunities with the celebrity heartthrob.

Sung Hoon first captured the hearts of viewers with his debut role in romance drama New Tales of Gisaeng. His performance earned him a Best New Actor award in 2011, and since then he has won numerous accolades including Best Entertainer Award at the 2^nd Asia Artist Awards, and the Korean Model Star award at the 13^th Asia Model Awards. Currently Sung Hoon holds the lead role in Korea’s top-rated show, I Live Alone which airs on Oh!K (Astro Channel 394).

Sung Hoon will also appear in a live Facebook session on the Oh!K Facebook page on the same day at approximately 1pm, where he will share about his experience in Malaysia as well as answer some of his fans’ top questions.

And if that isn’t enough, the first 300 Astro customers to come down to 1 Utama on 19 October, from 1.00pm till 4.45pm, with their latest Astro bill can stand a chance to take home limited edition Sung Hoon merchandise!

K-dance workshops and competitions

Also,  as part of the Oh!K 5th anniversary roadshow festivities, K-fans can look forward to high-energy K-dance performances and free workshops with KTNK Dance Academy at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from 17 to 20 October. During these K-dance workshops, fans can have a full dance-workout while learning some of K-pop’s most electrifying moves.

Dance crews who already have the moves down to a pat and are hoping to be Malaysia’s next K-Pop star can join K-Pop Dance Stars Competition – an epic dance competition hosted by KTNK Dance Academy, happening on 19 October from 11am-4pm. At the competition, all the best dancers in Malaysia will have their chance to shine and stand a chance to win a total of RM5,000 in cash prizes.

Oh!K and Astro have also partnered to launch a ‘Pop & Watch’ branded block which will air some of the most popular shows from Oh!K’s programming slate. The block will be available on Astro Ria HD (CH 104/ HD CH 123), Astro Prima (CH 105/ HD CH 121), and Hello (CH 110) from 21 September to 20 October for all Astro customers.

Demam drama Korea bakal mencapai tahap tinggi apabila siri baharu yang dinanti-nantikan, Goblin bakal ditayangkan pada Sabtu, 3 Disember pada pukul 7.00 malam. Goblin akan ditayangkan di Oh!K (Saluran Astro 394),  dalam tempoh 24 jam selepas siaran di Korea. Drama ini menampilkan barisan pelakon terkenal termasuk Gong-Yoo (Train To Busan), Lee Dong Wook (Hotel King), Yoo In Na dan juga Kim Go Eun yang baru-baru ini meraih Anugerah Pelakon Wanita TV Baharu Terbaik pada Anugerah Kesenian Paeksang.

Siri ini ditulis oleh Kim Eun Sook dan diarahkan oleh Lee Eung Bok, perancang utama di sebalik drama yang mendapat pujian ramai, Descendants of the Sun. Goblin menjanjikan peminat drama Korea sebuah siri romantik yang berlatar dunia fantasi hari ini.

Jalan ceritanya menjejak Goblin (Gong Yoo), seorang orang tua yang kacak dan bosan dengan kehidupan abadinya. Satu-satunya cara untuk menamatkan riwayatnya adalah dengan mencari ‘pengantin goblin’, maka membawanya kepada penjumpaan Euntak (Kim Go Eun), wanita yang dia telah jatuh hati. Kisah cinta mereka, seperti kisah cinta hebat yang lain, penuh dengan ranjau dan duri apabila diketahui Euntak sebenarnya sedang melarikan diri daripada Malaikat Maut bernama Reaper (Lee Dong Wook). Reaper, ditugaskan untuk membunuh Euntak, kemudiannya bertemu dengan Sunny (Yoo In Na) seorang jelitawan yang mana beliau pula menaruh hati. Plot cerita memuncak apabila penonton mendapati Goblin dan Reaper berkongsi bilik, menjerumuskan kedua-duanya ke kancah yang begitu rumit, dengan mereka harus bergelut antara perasaan dengan tanggungjawab.
