The most anticipated pageant in the Southeast Asia Region “Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014” has been launched today at the Palace of the Golden Horses. This annual affair is authorised by Hong Kong Phoenix Satellite Television Company Limited and organised by White Fairy Sdn Bhd.
This event has been held annually in Malaysia since the winning of the international title by the former Miss Chinese Cosmos 2004, Ms Carrie Lee Sze Kei. This year’s pageant will be exceptionally remarkable especially for Carrie who is also the director of White Fairy Sdn Bhd as it marks the 10th anniversary of her glory years since she was crowned.
In search of the next beauty queen, Carrie welcomes all single ladies aged between 18 and 28 who were born during the period of 01 October 1986 to 01 October 1996 to participate in the upcoming Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014.
This invitation is extended particularly to all beautiful single ladies in the Southeast Asia region who are confident, intelligent, able to perform, with good health condition, possess good personality, with attractive appearance and good figure, have a height of not less than 165cm and have never been pregnant.
Similarly to the previous years, the winner of Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014 will represent the Southeast Asia Region to participate in Miss Chinese Cosmos International 2014 which will be held in Hong Kong in October this year to strive for the highest accolade.
Various activities including grooming classes, charitable visits, outdoor activities such as hiking and sports games will be conducted with the contestants during the training period which will commence two weeks prior to the grand final of Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014.
The organiser is being hopeful and targets to bring in car sponsorship, education scholarship and all other lucrative prizes to the winners this year. To achieve such target for lucrative prizes, Carrie urges all interested parties to join her for this remarkable event. In addition to the winners, there will also be 10 other subtitles up for grab by the contestants for this coming event.
In honour of her glory years throughout the past decade since her crowning, Carrie is hoping to achieve the next milestone particularly for this year’s pageant.
She is grateful for all the opportunities that her title has brought her to and is hoping that the upcoming beauty queens would have been entitled the same. Application Procedures
To participate in Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014, the applicants who are eligible must complete and sign the application forms which are made available in most shopping complexes or published in the newspapers, magazines, and internet together with the following supporting documents:
A photocopy of identity card (both front and back)
A photocopy each of the education certificates (e.g. SPM, STPM, Diploma, Degree, Master, PhD etc.) [Note: Candidates must possess a minimum of Diploma or Degree qualifications]
2 copies of 2 inches of the recent front face photograph
2 copies of 7 inches of the recent full length shot photograph
Upon completion of the above, the applicants may send email of the application form and supporting documents to whitefairy.wf@hotmail.com before 03 July 2014.
The shortlisted applicants will be notified via email or phone no later than 05 July 2014 for interview.
Interview Process
The first round of interview has kick-started today at the press launch after shortlisting the candidates through social media. Overseas candidates will consist of the winners of the local pageants which will be held separately in their jurisdictions. For candidates who are originated from the Southeast Asian countries without any local pageants, they will
be selected by either the National Director or via online interview.
Event process
About 20-24 contestants in the Southeast Asia Region will be shortlisted and they will be required to check in at the Palace Of The Golden Horses starting from 18 July 2014 till 03 August 2014.
During the period, the organiser will invite professionals to provide training courses on self-introduction, makeup, catwalk, posture and dance. Fitness classes such as yoga and aerobic will be conducted as well.
The contestants will also conduct goodwill visitations to other states in Malaysia (such as Malacca, Penang, Johor) and promotional appearances for sponsors as well as activities to promote the tourism of Malaysia. In addition, the contestants will also conduct charitable visits to homes such as the orphanage homes, old folks homes and homes for disabled to spread their love and support to those in needs.
Several games and public appearances by the contestants will also be arranged by the organiser in places such as shopping malls to create the exposure to the public and to promote Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014.
The grand final of Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2014 is scheduled to be held on 03 August 2014 at the Royal Ballroom of the Palace of The Golden Horses.
