PUMA x BTS collaboration is set to hit the shelf soon

Global Sports Brand PUMA announces its partnership with world-renowned pop music icons BTS. The Seoul-based K-pop group comprised of V, SUGA, JungKook, RM, Jin, j-hope and Jimin have been making huge waves in the music scene and are adored by millions of fans from their home base to the far corners of the globe.

The young icons have partnered with PUMA in South Korea since 2015 on brand campaigns and product collaborations. This year, together with PUMA, BTS will release their collaborative product worldwide, which includes a remix of the classic PUMA Turin and stylish sportswear basics. PUMAxBTS collection will be first available in Korea this Spring, with other regions following up later this summer. In addition to the creation of the PUMAxBTS collection, BTS will be seen in PUMA campaigns this year for the brand’s Sportstyle range, which includes classic PUMA icons such as the PUMA Suede and T-7 Track Suits.

BTS won the ‘Top Social Artist’ last year at the Billboard Music Awards, one of the top three music awards in the United States, surpassing world famous artists. They were also officially invited to the American Music Awards (AMA) to perform on stage, being the first K-pop group to do so, increasing the reputation of K-pop music and culture. In addition, they released the remix album ‘MIC Drop’ last November, making it to 28th place on the ‘Hot 100’, the Billboard singles chart, in the United States, which is the top record for a K-pop group.

BTS has been a great partner for PUMA and their innovative spirit, authenticity and creativity sync perfectly with the PUMA DNA. The PUMAxBTS collection will first hit stores in Korea this March and roll out globally in July. A follow up capsule to be released later this fall.

PUMA Launches the PUMA ONE Football Boot in Malaysia

Today’s players are not good at one thing. They are good at a lot of things. With that in mind, global sports brand PUMA launches the PUMA ONE football boots that delivers the needs of all football players in one perfect boots.To begin with, PUMA consulted UEFA Euro 2016’s Best Player and Golden Boot winner, Antoine Griezmann, youth academy players and football obsessed teens to understand their definitions of a perfect boot.

From there, it was abundantly clear that most footballers including Griezmann himself wanted a boot that had a great FIT, helped to move FAST and gave more FEEL on the ball.To complete the process, PUMA brought former Arsenal FC superstar Thierry Henry on board to play a major role in ensuring the all-new boots catered to every type of player.

With such strong research and insights, PUMA has delivered a football boot that excels in FIT, FAST and FEEL. FIT comes from the engineered evoKNIT sock, FAST is provided by the ultra-lightweight Pebax outsole, whilst FEEL is enhanced by the super soft leather that adorns the upper.

In conjunction with the launch of PUMA ONE in Malaysia, PUMA launched ‘The Perfect ONE Challenge’ that will be going on a month-long tour across 4 different locations in Kuala Lumpur (TFC Store LOT 10, 7-9 July), Johor Bahru (Komtar JBCC, 14-17 July), Penang (Queensbay Mall, 21-23 July) and Klang Valley (Sunway Pyramid, 28-30 July).

The launch event was organized in Lot 10 Shopping Complex, Kuala Lumpur and was attended by a number of PUMA Friends including footballers Ahmad Beto (Perak FA), Syahmi Safawi (Selangor FA) and Danish Hazriq (Negeri Sembilan).

Some local football crazy celebrities such as singer Hanifah ‘Black’, actor Ahmad Ezzrin Loy, TV host/actor Ryan Yong as well as Ola Bola fame Luqman Hafidz (Ali) and Lim Jian Wen (Ah Chai) were also present to join in the excitement and take on the Perfect ONE challenge during the launch event.

The challenge, which is open for the public, is a series of customized tasks that will test participant’s skills across the FIT/FAST/FEEL elements.

Speaking at the launch event in Lot 10 Shopping Complex, Kuala Lumpur, PUMA SEA’s Marketing Manager, Tim Tham mentioned that the challenge was designed specifically to highlight the special features of the PUMA ONE boots.

“We wanted to give the public a first-hand opportunity to try out the boots and experience its uniqueness,”

“The Perfect ONE Challenge will be a great opportunity for them to get a taste of the FIT, FAST and FEEL elements of the boots by taking on the three customized tasks and trying to complete it with the best time,” said Tim.

PUMA will be giving away prizes worth over a total of RM 6,000 for the Top 5 winners at the end of the tour.

The all-new PUMA ONE boots will replace PUMA’s existing evoSPEED and evoTOUCH product lines and will be worn on pitch by Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Agüero and Hector Bellerin.

The PUMA ONE 17.1 boots will be available at all PUMA outlets and retail partners in Malaysia from the 7th of July onwards retailing at RM879.

PUMA Releases The Velvet Twin Pack With Crossover Store

Global Sports Brand PUMA link up with Crossover store, Malaysia’s premiere sneaker source, for a luscious pack dubbed,”The Velvet Twin Pack” featuring the iconic Blaze of Glory and Disc Blaze. Aptly named ‘Roses’ and ‘Mystery’, the sneaker pack take cues from the dark and satirical drama found in films beloved by Crossover founder, Jem.

The Velvet Pack Blaze of Glory ‘Rose’ reinterprets the Trinomic icon with a fulltonal grey treatment on mesh upper placed under nubuck and leather materialwith speckled cage on the overlay. The dab of pink on the tongue, lace and sole represents Crossover’s signature color while the sky blue tint adds a touch of freshness on the insole and around the tongue. The main colorway adorns the outsole while a rose stencil print near the heel finishes off the design.

PUMA Re-issues The BWGH R698 BLUEFIELD OG

– Global Sports Brand PUMA reissues the first installment of their acclaimed collaboration with Parisian label Brooklyn We Go Hard (BWGH), with this season’s R698 BLUEFIELD OG. Continuing the fruitful relationship between the two brands, the drop introduces a sneaker driven by an obsession of intense and pure colours, drawing inspiration from the American artist Mark Rothko.

Since 2010, BWGH founders David Obadia and Nelson Hassan have been at the forefront of urban culture, translating their experiences into iconic designs. The Parisian duo, continue to take inspiration from PUMA’s rich sporting heritage, this season the collaborations sees one of PUMA’s hero silhouettes re-imagined through the eye of painter Rothko, famous for his work in the colourfield painting movement. PUMA Night Run Beckons Early Birds

Fancy running through the night covering a distance of 10km with fabulous prizes in store for the winners?

Well, PUMA is set to light up your night with the first-ever ‘PUMA Night Run’ against the backdrop of neon lights in Setia Alam, Selangor on 25 October, 2014.

However, there’s a catch to it. Registration to the inaugural PUMA Night Run is limited to the first 3,000 runners and is open to both men and women categories.

Participants can register via myraceonline.com starting August 8, 2014. The closing date is 30th September, 2014.
