Unix Sound Of Asia ft Simon Patterson

Simon Patterson began his career in the music business with an A&R position, which he held for several labels. He was signed by Seb Fontaine and also worked for Judge Jules and supported both of them with the music selection for their weekly radio shows on BBC Radio 1.

He began playing as a DJ in 2000 and has been resident DJ at the Londoner Club The Cross. He also began producing music to make his name known. Simon Patterson became very popular through the trance project Dogzilla, which he ran from 2003 to 2008, along with Richie Kayvan. They had their biggest success with the single “Without You”, which was ranked in some European charts.

In 2006, Simon Patterson released his first solo single “F-16”. Two years later, he left the trance project Dogzilla to focus on his solo career.

In 2010, Patterson was ranked 28th in the annual “Top 100 DJs” vote by DJ Magazine.

Forever Summer Beach Festival 2016 ft Emma Hewitt

Malaysia is one of the only places where Summer happens all year round so cool yourself off in an exciting way, as we bring the water to you with FOREVER SUMMER BEACH FESTIVAL to Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon this April 30th! Headlining will be the very talented & beautiful Emma Hewitt, performing live PA in a unique setting filled with colour, glow & excitement! Expect the sensational song bird to entertain festival goers with some of her biggest hits alongside a huge line up of local acts performing all kinds of genre’s through out the day. Get ready to wet your hands & dip your toes in the sand!

About Emma Hewitt

Few voices are as instantly recognizable as that of Australian born songstress, Emma Hewitt.

Hewitt’s haunting melodies, yearning lyrics and distinctive style have earned her a legion of passionate fans around the world as she continues to write and release music with some of the world’s most respected names in electronic dance music.

The journey began back in the Australian town of Geelong, Victoria where Emma would perform acoustically around the region through her teenage years. “Music was a form of escape for me and not something I ever consciously set out to follow as a career path. I was always inspired to ask questions; of myself as well as others and I guess over time those questions just sort of grew wings and turned into songs”.

Those songs led to an early record deal with Sony Music for her project ‘Missing Hours’. The relationship was brief, but provided Emma with an invaluable insight into the music industry setting the stage for things to come. “I was never very comfortable that first time around – I felt as though I was trying to figure out what I wanted to say and who I wanted to be with a lot of different people watching on through a microscope. The over analyzing didn’t make sense to me as I just wanted to write songs that might mean something to people – and all of a sudden these things I’d never really considered like marketing strategies and budgets became more important to the people around me. I was out walking with my brother one day and I had this epiphany and just said, ‘screw it’ – I want to burn this all down and dream it back to life the way I had imagined it. I wanted to give the songs the respect I felt they deserved”.

Emma Hewitt_zpspqckv37u copy

And dream it back to life she did. Emma’s very first EDM collaboration with UK heavyweight Chris Lake yielded the worldwide smash ‘Carry Me Away’ knocking Britney Spears out of the #1 position on the U.S Billboard Chart (Hot Dance Airplay) going on to spend over 50 weeks in the Top 100.

From there, Emma teamed up with German icons Cosmic Gate for the classic anthem ‘Not Enough Time’ and Dutch superstar DJ Dash Berlin for the mega hit, ‘Waiting’. ‘Waiting’ firmly cemented Emma Hewitt’s reputation as a serious international talent earning Hewitt many accolades including a #1 on the Global Trance Charts, #2 on the illustrious A State Of Trance Annual Countdown and an International Dance Music Award (Best Euro/HiNRG Track) at the 2010 Winter Music Conference in Miami.

A string of #1 Beatport releases followed throughout a particularly fertile period in 2010 and with a wealth on new material, a new record label in Armada Music and a desire to push the creative envelope, Hewitt undertook the extraordinary measure of producing her debut artist release as a double album project. “My only real goal with the album was to be faithful to the songs regardless of style or genre – I guess with the double sided concept, I just wanted to give as much music as I could back to whoever wanted or needed to hear it. I also wanted this album to show some of the different sides to my personality”.

Produced by Lee Groves (Goldfrapp, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode), ‘Burn The Sky Down’ was an instant favorite with fans around the world debuting in the Top 10 on the ITunes dance charts in seven different countries fusing electronic beats with ambient soundscapes, and live instrumentation with Hewitt’s inimitable vocal style at the fore.

The remix album features some of the world’s most respected remix artists including Armin van Buuren, Grammy nominated Morgan Page and Cosmic Gate amongst many others.

An extensive touring schedule throughout 2012 has included sold out solo performances right across the globe in over 25 countries as well as appearances on the major EDM festival circuit around the world where Hewitt is often known to leave the stage, microphone in hand, to join the revelers in the arena below.

“The energy and generosity of spirit of the people I meet everywhere I perform is what inspires me to make music and through the music, we share a bond even if we may never have met. As long as there is a single person who may find something they are looking for or a feeling they need in my music, I will continue to write for that person”.

A world away from the humble beginnings of her coastal hometown in Australia, Hewitt’s enthusiasm and relationship with her audience is something to behold and as she takes the stage, one line echoes out perfect summing up the Emma Hewitt journey so far.

Over 11,000 Music Fans Gather For ROAD TO ULTRA SINGAPORE

Over 11,000 Music Fans Gather For ROAD TO ULTRA SINGAPORE  | The inaugural edition of Road To ULTRA Singapore took place last night at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, setting a new record for the largest indoor dance music event in Singapore history.

Road to ULTRA Singapore also goes down in history as Singapore’s first completely cashless event of this scale, and one of the biggest parties of the 2015 F1 weekend.

Road to Ultra Singapore Crowd_Ultra2015_Colossal134_Clean

Three of the world’s most popular DJs – Skrillex, Nicky Romero and Alesso, took to the legendary ULTRA stage for an eight-hour production of music, lighting and theatricals, brought direct from the team behind globally renowned electronic music festival, ULTRA Miami.

The jam-packed Sands Expo and Convention halls, described by Rave Republic as “one of the biggest gigs of their life’’ welcomed more than 11,000 ‘ULTRAnauts’ to party the night away into the early hours of Sunday morning.

Dutch DJ, Nicky Romero, famed for his chart-topping tracks ‘Lighthouse’ ‘Warriors’ and ‘Feet on the ground’ says: “It was an honour to be invited to be a headliner at the first ever Road To ULTRA Singapore. ULTRA is always a highlight of my touring schedule and this edition was no exception. The reception from everyone has been overwhelming and the crowd was awesome! I can’t wait to return to Singapore.’

Kicking off in true ULTRA style, Asian based duo Rave Republic geared the crowd up for the night ahead. As one of the most in-demand DJ duos based out of Asia, they created a high energy show featuring props, video visuals and many memorable surprises themed in a post apocalyptic way.

19092015_Ultra2015_Colossal082_Clean

The momentum further built up with performances from Mija, Ansolo, Nicky Romero and Swedish power house Alesso, before Skrillex closed the night with an electrifying 90-minute set taking fans on a journey across music, cranking up the atmosphere to euphoric levels through the early hours of this morning.

One of the party goers, Prashant Ashoka, 26 says: “Skrillex brought the house down! His closing set was immense and it was great to see him live – he has a huge following in Singapore and the crowd were so excited – the lighting, confetti drops, lasers and pyros all created a super cool atmosphere.’’

19092015_Ultra2015_Colossal144_Clean

Raj Datwani, Executive Partner for Road to ULTRA Singapore, says: “We’re delighted with the success of last night’s event and loved welcoming some of the biggest names in the music industry to Singapore. We had an overwhelming response to ticket sales and the event was at capacity, which speaks volumes for the growth of the EDM scene in Asia. We are excited about bringing future ULTRA events to Singapore and further strengthening the ULTRA brand presence in Asia.’’

Organisers are promising various activities where fans will have the opportunity to mingle and engage with the various international acts from the lineup.

Cabins on IT’S THE SHIP 2015 vary in price from USD588 to USD1,288 per person (exclusive of taxes and gratuity fees). All suites available on board are sold out with only limited cabins left for purchase. Cabin prices are inclusive of complimentary 24-hour dining and room service, selected non-alcoholic beverages and free usage of most of the ship’s facilities. A monthly installment payment plan is also available for the cabins starting at just USD134 per month.

Cabin sales end on 10 November 2015. For more information on cabin options and prices, updates and other details, log on to www.itstheship.com.
