In the I AM WOMAN series, produced by Double Vision with a team headed by executive producer Min Lim, the women featured embrace speed, tough jobs, defence, rescue services, martial arts and more. From a stuntwoman to a motorsports competitor, from a welder, a builder and a lorry driver to an MMA fighter, a firefighter, a Navy shooter and long haul trailer driver, these women have challenged conventions and taken on careers where men used to rule supreme and when women used to be relegated to the side lines.

Things have changed for the better. I AM WOMAN seeks to inspire and empower its audience, with host Alia Zecha pushing herself out of her comfort zone to walk in the footsteps of the amazing women featured in this series. These women had a passion and they pursued it without letting anyone or anything hold them down – and there is much we can learn from them.

The 10-episode long I AM WOMAN series will be available on Viu starting 7 December 2017, with a new episode released weekly. In conjunction with the release of I AM WOMAN, Prudential will be rewarding viewers with the chance to win a brand new iPhone, online shopping vouchers and Viu subscriptions. Viu Announces ‘The Publicist’

Vuclip, a PCCW Media Company, and the leading premium video-on-demand service provider for emerging markets, today announced the star studded cast of its upcoming original, a romantic drama series titled The Publicist.

“We are thrilled to bring to Viu fans The Publicist as a refreshing, compelling new original. Working with Nia Dinata on Switch and now with Monty Tiwa on The Publicist has been fun and a great pleasure. We are excited to see the young talent and creativity in Indonesia and are committed to building a robust opportunity for these artists. Viu Originals across all our markets have been extremely popular and this encourages us to create many more. Thanks to our fans for the avid support,” said Arun Prakash, President and COO of Vuclip.

Adipati Dolken as Rey

The Publicist, conceptualized by Monty Tiwa, is a story that focuses on the relationship between a troubled actor, Reynaldi, whose career is in jeopardy following a scandal and a publicist, Julia, who is brought in to help restore his tarnished image. Adipati Dolken and Prisia Nasution play the roles of Actor and Publicist respectively in this romantic drama.

“I’m excited to play a complex and original character like Julia, an image maker who provides a second chance to Reynaldi to rebuild his life and career after a scandal. In this era of strong gender biases in Indonesia, playing a character who is confident and outspoken and yet has a past that she doesn’t want to reveal is a rare and compelling opportunity,” said Prisia Nasution.

Prisia Nasution as Julia

“Working with Viu Indonesia allowed me as a filmmaker to work more creatively than ever before. It was a delight to create a series with big screen treatments, explore story ideation and develop the script. We have worked with the best crew and cast in the movie industry for The Publicist. The digital format allowed me to explore the story and characters in an uninhibited manner, which is why I believe the story will resonate strongly with millennials,” said Monty Tiwa, Director of The Publicist.

Love between Human and Robot… possible? Find out on My Robot Boyfriend, exclusively on Viu Malaysia

Humans tend to search far and wide for true love. However in moments of desperation or loneliness, have you ever wondered if love between a human and a robot is possible? Find out as the mystery unfolds on “My Robot Boyfriend” exclusively on Viu, a freemium OTT streaming service offering the best of Asian content to Malaysians.

My Robot Boyfriend depicts a love story between a young girl interning at a medical school, and a humanoid robot tasked to oversee skills development in the same school. In this story, love and relationships take a turn from the norm.

Bringing the audience to a time set in the future, the story begins with Yu Zhenxin, a humanoid robot secretly invented for “left behind” women – those who have yet to find love. An intern, Lin Mengnan, becomes the first “test subject” for the robot – by accident. Yu Zhenxin’s warmth and kindness draws Lin Mengnan to become emotionally dependent on him, although she knows that he is a humanoid.

One day, however, Lin Mengnan meets Han Yifeng, her senior, whom she falls in love with. In a twist of events, Yu Zhenxin slowly becomes aware of his jealousy as he observes this human love and interaction. As Lin Mengnan and Han Yifeng develop a closer relationship, Yu Zhenxin begins to question if artificial intelligence could ever replace human emotions.

Directed by Guo Miaojing(郭淼晶), My Robot Boyfriend will see a star-studded cast including the likes of Zhu Zixiao(朱梓驍), Zeng Mengxue(曾夢雪), Zhao Shi(趙時), Qu Yutong(曲昱曈) and Luo Mingjie(駱明劼).
