The Malaysia Urban Retreat Festival (“Murfest”) is an event held annually in the beloved homegrown soil of Malaysia, celebrating the best of wellness, yoga, world music and dance.

November 2014 witnessed the maiden festival at the Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside and Marina Putrajaya and carried on for 3 days, boasting an array of talks and workshops, a Wellness and Healing Vendor Village with over 60 vendors showcasing health conscious products and goods. The grounds of the festival then turned into a celebration of music and dance as night beckons, highlighting the Urbanite concert – a spectacular line-up of world music for 2 nights with musical guests both local and international coming together for the love of community and celebration.

This year, Murfestis back from 4th to 6th of September at the Hotel Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar. Bringing the outdoors into the indoors, this strategically located venue will be simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G for any Festival goer curious to see the turn-over of a Business Hotel into a colourful and inspiring festival ground.

Yoga enthusiasts now have International Day of Yoga for them to celebrate and share with their loved ones. June 21 was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014. Yoga, a 6,000+-year-old physical, mental and spiritual practice having its origin in India, aims to transform the body and the mind.

This Community event is organized by MURFEST (M) SDN BHD, the folks behind the largest wellness festival in Malaysia, (Malaysia Urban Retreat Festival), is supported by the Indian High Commission of India, DBKL, FIT MALAYSIA together with Gemilang Usahawan, Agenda Lokalism, the Gujarati Association of Wilayah Perseketuan & Selangor and NUSENTRAL Shopping Center, KL Sentral who are the official venue sponsor.
