McDonald’s perkenal Burger Nasi Lemak

McDonald’s Malaysia memperkenalkan Burger Nasi Lemak bagi meraikan kegemaran rakyat Malaysia terhadap hidangan tradisional ini sejak sekian lama.

Boleh didapati dalam tempoh masa terhad dari 26 April, Burger Nasi Lemak Burger pastinya mampu membangkitkan citarasa anda – dengan kepingan ayam enak yang dimasak menggunakan santan, disalut dengan emping jagung yang rangup, dan ditambah dengan sos sambal istimewa, telur goreng, bawang tumis serta kepingan timun segar yang dihidangkan bersama ban cili.

Ketua Pegawai Pemasaran McDonald’s Malaysia, Melati Abdul Hai, berkata, McDonald’s berbangga kerana dapat menawarkan hidangan-hidangan yang menjadi kegemaran rakyat Malaysia.

Burger Nasi Lemak McDonald’s merupakan satu lagi menu hasil inspirasi dari hidangan tempatan yang digemari ramai. Antara menu kegemaran ramai lain termasuklah Bubur Ayam, Cakoi dan juga Ayam Goreng McD yang sangat popular. Selain itu, McDonald’s Malaysia turut menyediakan menu pencuci mulut citarasa tempatan seperti D24 Durian McFlurry, MILO McFlurry, Banana Pie, Pulut Hitam Pie, Red Bean Pie, Taro Pie dan aiskrim kon perisa Cendol.

“Burger Nasi Lemak McDonald’s diinspirasikan daripada rasa enak nasi lemak tempatan yang dijual oleh para pengusaha tempatan. Kami berbangga kerana dapat memberi penghormatan atas sumbangan mereka yang menghidupkan legasi nasi lemak sehingga hari ini.

INTERVIEW

1.As we know, now you move solo not with the band, how do you compare when you are in a band and solo?

Freedom I guess?

No matter what I do, I won’t  receive a dirty look (laughs). But there’s a lack of chemistry.

2.Why you choose to put metal element in your album?

Because I want the audience to go wild.

3.Can you describe your music style and what bands is inspired you to come out with this music?

I’m a multifaceted artist. 

My solo work is totally different from my work with L‘Arc and Vamps. I’m influenced by many kinds of music but mostly by 80’s metal and British New Wave. Recently I like Bring Me the Horizon.

4.Do you know any Malaysia artist or band? If you have a choice which artist you want to collaborate with?

I have no idea so please teach me.

5.Seeing as you are from Japan, the place where anime reigns supreme, what is your favourite anime? And as i know you have make a voice over in Bakuman anime, so how do you feel it?

I don’t really watch anime but out of all the movies I’ve seen I like Evangelion best. I’m not accustomed to voice acting but if there’s a cute one, I’ll do it. 

6.This is your first solo show in Malaysia. What do you feel when you got an offer to play in this country and what do you know about Malaysia

Kuro Misa is different from any other live I’ve done up till now as it’s in an acoustic style and you might not have that image of me, but I’m really happy that I have fans in Malaysia and I’m able to go there. Looking forward to it.

 

“Sulalatus Salatin” Bukti Keampuhan Farasu

Farasu kembali mendepani masa dengan kemunculan album terbaru, *SULALATUS SALATIN* yang menampilkan kelainan bentuk muzikal berbanding karya-karya terdahulu.

Sulalatus Salatin juga menjadi cetusan penjenamaan baru bagi muzik metal Malaysia dan dunia iaitu Nusantara Metal, sub-genre yang bersulam-kait  elemen-elemen muzikal Nusantara bersama muzik teras deathmetal.

Jika di peringkat antarabangsa, Black Sabbath dikenang sebagai ‘dewata metal’ yang mencetuskan kepelbagaian sub-genre metal, Sweden pula melahirkan ‘Swedish Metal’, Finland dengan ‘Viking Metal’ dan Taiwan melalui Chithonic memunculkan ‘Oriental Metal’, negara ini tidak ketinggalan melalui cetusan Nusantara Metal oleh Farasu.

Imbasan Sejarah

Sejak diasaskan pada 12 Disember 2002, Farasu telah tampil dengan sebuah demo dan mini cd serta tiga buah album penuh. Karya-karya tersebut adalah;

  2. MCD ‘The Blackmoon Eclipse’, 2006
  3. Album ‘Menongkah Arus’, 2010
  4. Album ‘Against Tyranny’, 2015

Persembahan pertama Farasu bermula di Nilai pada 9 Mac 2003 dalam gig ‘Eastern Loudness’ yang turut menampilkan Sil-Khannaz. Sepanjang tahun 2003 hingga 2005, Farasu aktif mengadakan persembahan gig sekitar Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Seremban dan Nilai selain turut menganjurkan gig di Nilai dan Seremban.

Selepas tahun 2005, Farasu bergiat aktif dalam persembahan di Singapura, Sarawak, Sabah dan Indonesia. Persembahan pertama Farasu di pentas antarabangsa pada tahun 2006 dalam sebuah gig di Substation, Singapura. Kemudian pertengahan tahun 2007, Farasu berpeluang mengadakan persembahan di Surabaya dan Jogjakarta, Indonesia.

Langkah jauh Farasu di peringkat antarabangsa berkesinambungan setelah kemunculan album ‘Against Tyranny’ pada tahun 2015. Sepanjang tahun 2015 hingga 2017, Farasu tanpa henti meneruskan gerakan aktif persembahan di Indonesia, Taiwan, China, Nepal dan Australia.

Antara jenama-jenama persembahan pentas yang pernah disertai Farasu adalah Dumai Tektonik, Melayu Mengaghok (Bengkalis), Batam Undersickness IV & V, Jogja Brebeg 2015, Daimonius Open Air Bali, A Fest China, Taiwan Deathmetal Fest 2016 & 2017 serta Tour Pre-Album Sulalatus Salatin 2017 bersama kuasa metal Indonesia, Siksakubur.

Farasu juga tidak ketinggalan dalam aksi-aksi pentas besar di tanahair seperti Rock The World 15 & 17, A Fest, persembahan khas di Hard Rock Cafe KL & Melaka.

Karya Terbaru

Sulalatus Salatin merupakan ‘pro-release’ ketiga yang dihasilkan oleh Farasu selepas album Menongkah Arus dan Against Tyranny.

Proses penghasilan album ini bermula pada penghujung tahun 2017 hingga Mac 2018. Kerja-kerja rakaman, adunan dan mastering dijalankan  dengan lebih teliti kerana bentuk muzikal Farasu sangat berbeza berbanding karya-karya terdahulu. Ia melibatkan gabungan alatan muzik moden dan tradisional yang membentuk garapan muzik metal dan tradisional Nusantara. Ini percubaan berani Farasu bagi mencetuskan sebuah kelainan baru dalam evolusi muzik metal. Kerja-kerja rakaman peralatan muzik tradisional ini ditunjangi kumpulan *Dewangga Sakti* yang dimainkan secara langsung dan spontan. Suatu cabaran yang menarik buat Dewangga Sakti bagi percubaan ‘menjahit & menyulam’ muzikal tradisional bercantum rasa dengan muzik deathmetal!

Album Sulalatus Salatin menampilkan lapan (8) buah lagu yang disusun, digarap dan dimainkan sendiri oleh semua anggota Farasu. Album ini bakal mendepani masa dan zaman bagi scene muzik Malaysia

Ini merupakan karya ‘pro-release’ ketiga Farasu yang menampilkan bentuk muzikal dalam garapan baru iaitu Nusantara Metal.  Album Sulalatus Salatin bakal menjadi suatu anjakan baru dalam evolusi muzik metal Malaysia dan dunia.

Jika Sweden boleh berbangga dengan Swedish Metal, Taiwan dengan Oriental Metal, kemunculan album Sulalatus Salatin ini mampu menjadi cetusan baru dalam evolusi metal dunia melalui sub-genre Nusantara Metal.

Sulalatus Salatin mempersembahkan lapan buah lagu baru yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen muzikal Nusantara seperti ghazal, joget, irama dan melodi Melayu disusun bersama muzikal asas death metal. Album ini didatangkan dalam bentuk digipek.

Farasu juga akan mengadakan ‘launching party’ pada 1 Julai 2018 di The Bee, Solaris Dutamas Kuala Lumpur. Acara ini turut menampilkan lima band metal baru.

Selain daripada itu, Farasu turut merangka jelajah khas album Sulalatus Salatin seluruh negara meliputi lokasi-lokasi pilihan. Jelajah yang sama bagi peringkat serantau iaitu di bandar-bandar utama seluruh Indonesia juga akan dimulakan selepas Aidilfitri 2018 nanti

Extreme Adakan Konsert di Kuala Lumpur Jun Ini

Setelah sekian lama ditubuhkan, akhirnya kumpulan yang cukup ikonik dengan lagu More Than Words, Extreme bakal mengadakan konsert eksklusif buat peminat setianya di Malaysia.  Apa yang pasti konsert anjuran IMC Live Group Malaysia dan East West Best ini akan berlangsung pada 10 Jun 2018 di KL Live, Life Centre, Kuala Lumpur.  Konsert akan bermula pada jam 8.30 malam.

Extreme lebih sinonim dengan nuansa rock ini masih lagi mengekalkan anggota asal seperti Gary Cherone (vokal), Nuno Bettencourt (gitar), Pat Badger (Bass) dan Kevin Figueiredo (Drums).  Selain dikenali melalui lagu More Than Words, Extreme juga turut popular dengan lagu Get The Funk Out dan Hole Hearted.

Band yang ditubuhkan pada tahun 1985 mula menakluki pasaran muzik antarabangsa melalui album kedua mereka yang berjudul “Pornograffitti”.  Album ini tersenarai di carta billboard 200 sejak ianya diriliskan pada tahun 1990. Malah apa yang lebih menarik lagu popular mereka, More Than Words turut terdapat dalam album ini.

Konsert Extreme di Kuala Lumpur adalah bersempena dengan siri jelajah “Extreme Asia Tour 2018” yang turut menyaksikan Singapura dan Thailand bakal menjadi lokasi persembahan mereka.

Toyota presents Good Vibes Festival

The much-loved Malaysian music festival Toyota presents Good Vibes Festival once again celebrates its homecoming to the rolling greenery of The Ranch at Gohtong Jaya in Genting Highlands by championing international chart-toppers and cutting-edge local acts. Now in its fifth edition, #GoodVibesFest returns this year on 21 and 22 July 2018 .

Toyota, known for its commitment to quality and constant innovation for the future of people, cars and communities, joins Good Vibes Festival this year as a title sponsor. Today, the two-day getaway festival announces its buoyant bill for 2018 which includes New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde ( “Royals”, “Green Light” ), whose latest album walks a tightrope between art pop and melodrama for the mainstream; arena-fillers English alt-prog trio alt-J ( “Breezeblocks”, “3WW” ), on singular form fresh off the success of third full-length release ‘RELAXER’; and American act The Neighbourhood ( “Sweater Weather”, “Scary Love” ), whose signature moody, slinky sound will prove fitting against the backdrop of the highlands at The Ranch.

Also on the #GoodVibesFest bill is Australian pop phenomenon Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker ( “No Diggity”, “Stop Me” ), whose recent artistic metamorphosis towards a more radical, neo-soul r’n’b sound is reflected in his decision to retire his former moniker Chet Faker; as well as Seattle-based electronic duo on the rapid rise ODESZA ( “Sun Models” featuring Madelyn Grant, “Line of Sight” featuring Mansionair and WYNNE ), known for carving out an identity in a crowded electronic pop landscape with their envelope-pushing ethereal, expansive anthems.

Bringing his batch of emotive, electronic club bangers to #GoodVibesFest is the Prodigal producer SG Lewis ( “Aura”, “No Less” ). HONNE ( “Someone That Loves You”, “Warm On A Cold Night” ), oozing sensual synths, slick basslines, and swoon-inducing choruses, will soundtrack the sun setting on the misty greenery of The Ranch. Still in his teens, the precocious French prodigy Petit Biscuit ( “Memories”, “Sunset Lover” ) will make his presence known at the festival with atmospheric, melodic nostalgia-inducing masterpieces.

American DJ-producer pair Louis The Child (“It’s Strange”, “Weekend”) also front the festival with electronic dance bangers, seductive scores and tropical house vibes. Finally, rounding up the international bill for now, Toronto duo Majid Jordan takes the stage by straddling the sweet intersection of bright, pulsing pop songs and melancholic, moody r’n’b cuts.

On the local lineup, acts announced include Altimet ( “Amboi”, “Kalau Aku Kaya” ), one of Malaysia’s most prolific rappers who will be performing with The Kawan Band on the day; Noh Salleh ( “Angin Kencang”, “Bunga Di Telinga” ), the award-winning solo artiste and frontman of indie rock stalwarts Hujan; five-piece rock’n’rollers Kyoto Protocol ( “Jelita” feat. Liyana Fizi, “Tiada Lagi Kidungmu” ); electro duo darlings Pastel Lite ( “Assassin”, “Damsel” ); fast-rising feisty rapper Zamaera ( “Helly Kelly”, “Wanita” ); Malaysian indie-pop artiste Froya ( “Sunny Side Down”, “Uncomprehended Child” ); songstress-songwriter Bil Musa ( “No More Excuses”, “Owe It All To You” ); Malaysia-based Indonesian producer Emir Hermono ( “3AM In Jakarta”, “Fake Friends” ); and singer-songwriter and YouTuber LUNADIRA ( “Forever’s Not Our Thing” ).

SaturdaySelects , the beatmaker and selector collective made up of members the likes of Lionel Rizki, Reddi Rocket, and Roshan, will hold it down at the Electric Fields stage on the first day, before making way for r’n’b powerhouse Raising The Bar presents A-Kid, Senna, Dan $hiv (live), and many more on the festival’s final day. Plus, party it up with premier DJ duo Naufal & I-Sky ; as well as Dangerdisko (live) , Kuala Lumpur’s purveyors of fine dirty disco and new wave.

Expect more international and local acts to be added to the #GoodVibesFest bill in the weeks to come.

For the first time ever, the festival introduces a new premium VIP experience. “Dr. Irma Tanya Anda Boleh Nyanyi Ke?” #SUARAJUARA

Dr. Irma Entertainment kembali melancarkan kempen dan peraduan terbaru “Dr. Irma Tanya Anda Boleh Nyanyi Ke?”, dengan kerjasama Johor FM yang diberi nama SUARA JUARA. Terbuka kepada umum, peraduan pencarian bakat baru  ini dilancarkan secara eksklusif menerusi akaun Instagram Dr. Irma Entertainment, di mana ia merupakan kerjasama bersama dengan Johor FM serta kolaborasi promosi bersama instagram Malaysian Cover.

Kempen “Dr. Irma Tanya Anda Boleh Nyanyi Ke?” merupakan usaha yang dilakukan untuk mencari dan menggilap bintang baru dalam bidang nyanyian dengan menghadiahkan wang tunai keseluruhan sebanyak RM10,000 serta pemenang berpeluang menjadi artis rakaman Dr. Irma Entertainment. Peraduan “Dr. Irma Tanya Anda Boleh Nyanyi?” -SUARA JUARA di mana proses sarinagn awal dijalankan secara eksklusif menerusi laman media sosial Instagram dan Facebook Dr. Irma Entertainment.

Peserta yang berminat hanya perlu menyanyikan semula salah satu daripada lagu wajib  Definasi Cinta, Bidadari, Antidot Lara, Melankolia atau pun Cinta Tirai Biru. Nyanyian semula ini kemudiannya perlu dimuat naik ke akaun Instagram peribadi peserta dengan memasukkan hashtag #DrIrmaContest , #SuaraJuara beserta tag akaun @dr.irma_entertainment @johorfm dan @suarajuara

Juara akan dipilih menerusi jumlah tontonan video paling banyak daripada video-video nyanyian semula yang dimuatnaik oleh penyelaras pertandingan ke akaun @suarajuara. Sebanyak 15 peserta akan dipilih berdasarkan tontonan paling banyak untuk ke konsert semifinal dan konsert akhir peraduan ini yang akan dijalankan di Auditorium RTM Johor. Disusuli pula dengan masalah rumahtangga yang berantakan dan kehilangan kedua anak yang disayangi. Itulah yang dilalui oleh Mawar Rashid menerusi lakonannya dalam drama Samarinda Kalis Kasih, yang turut dibintangi oleh Elvina Mohamad, Amar Baharin, Syazwan Zulkifly, Nazeera Sardi, Amyza Aznan, Azri Iskandar, Rosnah Johari, dan Iduerra Matilda dalam drama Samarinda Kalis Kasih.

Kalis Kasih arahan saudara Nazir Jamaludin yang mengandungi 15 episod ini diterbitkan oleh Z K Creative Production Sdn Bhd. Drama yang bertemakan kekeluargaan dan pengorbanan ini bakal menemui penonton semua pada setiap Isnin hingga Rabu bermula 2 April, pada pukul 10.00 malam.

Drama ini mengisahkan tentang dua orang sepupu yang sebaya tetapi berbeza karakter dan latar belakang iaitu Amanda dan Dania. Amanda (lakonan Mawar Rashid) dibesarkan di bandar dan sudah biasa dengan kesenangan, manakala Dania, yang dilakonakan oleh Elvina Mohamad, dibesarkan di kampung dan hidup dalam kesederhanaan. Takdir seakan ingin menduga mereka berdua apabila ibu bapa Amanda lemas ketika beriadah di sungai. Amanda terpaksa meninggalkan kehidupan bandarnya dan berpindah ke kampung untuk tinggal bersama keluarga Dania.

Seperti yang anda jangkakan seperti cerita-cerita melayu yang lain, semestinya Amanda tidak tahan tinggal di kampung. Oleh itu, Amanda belajar bersungguh-sungguh dan dapat sekolah di sebuah sekolah berasrama penuh. Setelah berjaya, Amanda bekerja di bandar dan berkahwin dengan Khair, lakonan Amar Bahrain. Pada masa sama, Dania pula telah menjalinkan hubungan dengan Bard (Syazwan Zulkifli), seorang jejaka kampung yang tidak mempunyai pendapatan tetap. Hubungannya dengan Bard tidak disenangi oleh kedua-dua ibu bapa Dania, Pak Kudin dan Mak Zauyah.

Setelah beberapa bulan berlalu, Amanda melahirkan seorang anak perempuan yang dinamakan Iris. Khabar gembira ini menimbulkan keterujaan Mak Zauyah yang ketika itu tidak sihat. Dia ingin menyediakan air akar kayu untuk Amanda. Namun, tanpa diduga, Mak Zauyah telah tergelincir di dapur dan meragut nyawanya.

Setelah enam tahun berlalu, Dania akhirnya bertunang dengan Bard. Syarikat audit Amanda dan Khair semakin maju dan ini membuatkan mereka terlalu sibuk sehingga tidak dapat menguruskan anaknya Iris. Amanda meminta bantuan Dania untuk menjadi pengasuh Iris. Pada masa sama, Amanda juga sedang mengandungkan anak kedua. Dania teruja apabila dipelawa untuk menjadi pengasuh Iris di samping menjaga rumah Amanda dan Khair.

Puan Halena, ibu Khair pula senang hati melihat rumah tangga anaknya semakin terurus semenjak kehadiran Dania di rumah Amanda. Pada ketika itu juga, pertunangan Dania dengan Bard telah diputuskan oleh Pak Kudin apabila Bard dilihat menjalinkan hubungan sulit bersama wanita lain. Walaupun pertunangan Dania terputus, kehidupan Dania tidak terjejas kerana Dania sedang bahagia bersama Iris.

Namun, kebahagiaan keluarga ini hanyalah sementara apabila mereka diduga dengan Amanda yang keguguran anak keduanya dan kematian Iris. Ini membuatkan hubungan Amanda dan Dania semakin renggang. Apakah yang telah berlaku di dalam keluarga ini?

PUMA x BTS collaboration is set to hit the shelf soon

Global Sports Brand PUMA announces its partnership with world-renowned pop music icons BTS. The Seoul-based K-pop group comprised of V, SUGA, JungKook, RM, Jin, j-hope and Jimin have been making huge waves in the music scene and are adored by millions of fans from their home base to the far corners of the globe.

The young icons have partnered with PUMA in South Korea since 2015 on brand campaigns and product collaborations. This year, together with PUMA, BTS will release their collaborative product worldwide, which includes a remix of the classic PUMA Turin and stylish sportswear basics. PUMAxBTS collection will be first available in Korea this Spring, with other regions following up later this summer. In addition to the creation of the PUMAxBTS collection, BTS will be seen in PUMA campaigns this year for the brand’s Sportstyle range, which includes classic PUMA icons such as the PUMA Suede and T-7 Track Suits.

BTS won the ‘Top Social Artist’ last year at the Billboard Music Awards, one of the top three music awards in the United States, surpassing world famous artists. They were also officially invited to the American Music Awards (AMA) to perform on stage, being the first K-pop group to do so, increasing the reputation of K-pop music and culture. In addition, they released the remix album ‘MIC Drop’ last November, making it to 28th place on the ‘Hot 100’, the Billboard singles chart, in the United States, which is the top record for a K-pop group.

BTS has been a great partner for PUMA and their innovative spirit, authenticity and creativity sync perfectly with the PUMA DNA. The PUMAxBTS collection will first hit stores in Korea this March and roll out globally in July. A follow up capsule to be released later this fall.
