Castrol Showcases And Celebrates ‘Rio in Asia’

Castrol celebrated its sponsorship of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ by hosting a pioneering technology event for over 600 customers from 19 countries at their Rio in Asia event held in Phuket, Thailand.Pierluigi Collina

Castrol were joined by special guest Pierluigi Collina, referee of the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ final in Japan.

Castrol guests went through a series of presentations on evolving automotive engines and exciting demonstrations of Castrol’s pioneering lubricant technology. This was followed by an interactive session with Collina where he shared his insights and knowledge of football, based on his experiences as one of the world’s top referees.

The technology display also brought to life the Castrol MAGNATEC brand proposition, showcasing its intelligent molecules that cling to engine parts to provide an extra layer of protection from the moment you start the car.

Also on display was Castrol’s proprietary ZIPBOOSTER technology developed for the growing scooter market in Asia. Scooter engines require special scooter engine oils and Castrol ACTIV SCOOTER with ZIPBOOSTER molecules helps to keep the scooter as zippy as new by providing continuous protection from wear and high temperature deposit build up.
