Stop imagining because Lip Sync Battle is set to make a big entry into Asia!

This highly anticipated Viacom original series is set to debut in Asia on weekdays on Comedy Central (ABNXCESS Ch 252 (HD), Astro B.yond Ch 737 (HD), and HyppTV HD Ch609) starting Tuesday, 28 July at 9:30pm (MY)

The first season comprises 10 episodes with an extended eight episodes. The first three episodes in Asia will feature Jimmy Fallon vs. Dwayne Johnson, Anna Kendrick vs. John Krasinski, and Anne Hathaway vs. Emily Blunt. Based on the pop culture phenomenon of lip sync battling, the Spike original series features celebrities going head to head – lip-syncing the song of their choice – battling for the coolest bragging rights on the planet. Among the talent who appeared in Season 1 included Dwayne Johnson, John Legend, Anne Hathaway, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Blunt, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Anna Kendrick, Mike Tyson, and Queen Latifah.

Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL COOL J and executive produced by Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson of Matador Content, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, and Eight Million Plus Productions.

Comedy Central Asia is bringing viewers one of British television’s most loved families, The Kumars at No. 42. The complete seven seasons of the show will debut exclusively on the network over seven weeks with new episodes on weekdays starting from Thursday, 11 December at 7pm (TH/WIB), 8pm (SG/HK//PH/TW) and 9pm (MY). Thereafter, the cast reunites after a seven-year hiatus for the brand new season re-titled The Kumars, which premieres on Friday, 23 January 2015 at 7pm (TH/WIB), 8pm (SG/HK//PH/TW) and 9pm (MY).

Winner of two International Emmy awards, the Rose d’Or Bronze Rose (Best Comedy) and the British Comedy Award, the hybrid sitcom-chat show follows the trials and tribulations of a dysfunctional suburban immigrant family – Madhuri and Ashwin Kumar, Sanjeev (their 30 something son), and Sushila (the family’s irrepressible matriarch). Based on a fictional British family, the Kumars support Sanjeev’s dream of making it big as a TV presenter going as far as to set up a TV studio in their home garden.

With celebrity guests’ appearances fees paid out in “chutney”, the comedy series features appearances by Helena Bonham Carter, Charlotte Church, Ronan Keating, Jimi Mistry, Boy George and more.

By gift, we mean the last three Saturday Night Live (SNL) episodes of 2014 are going to be the bomb!

This Christmas, SNL is bringing on the season’s cheer with a star-studded line-up of guests hosts and musical guests. James Franco stars as Guest Host in the Asia premiere of this Saturday’s episode on 13 December at 11pm, followed by Martin Freeman on 20 December and Amy Adams on 27 December.

The encore telecast of respective episodes including musical performances will debut weekly on Fridays at 11pm – Nicki Minaj on 19 December, Charli XCX on 26 December and One Direction on 2 January.

This weekend, catch Chris Rock making his first appearance hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL) since 1996 in the fifth episode of the show’s landmark 40^th season. Joining Chris is musical guest, Prince, who is making his third appearance on the show.

The iconic comedian, who is also a former SNL cast member, sets the stage alight with his unmistakable edgy standup on the show’s customary monologue. He also reprises one of his best known sketches on the show, “The Dark Side with Nat X”.

Speaking of iconic – in celebration of the 30^th anniversary of his album and film Purple Rain, Prince appeared with supporting all-girl band, 3rdEyeGirl during the recording of the show to deliver an extraordinary eight-minute medley of his best loved tracks. This is an amazing treat for any rock ‘n’ roll fan, as Rolling Stone put it, “The last time he had eight uninterrupted minutes on national television, Prince was performing at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2007.”
