Peminat Badminton dan Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei bakal menjadi saksi kepada tayangan sulung filem LEE CHONG WEI versi tambahan berdurasi 133 minit pada 9 Mac 2018 di Stadium Nasional, Kuala Lumpur Sports City.

Acara ‘Tayangan Perdana Sedunia Lee Chong Wei Versi Tambahan 133 minit’ itu akan dihadiri Chong Wei dan keluarga, jaguh-jaguh badminton negara, selebriti serta pengarah dan para pelakon filem LEE CHONG WEI.

Filem arahan Teng Bee itu mengisahkan kehidupan awal Chong Wei yang penuh liku sehingga menjadi pemain badminton nombor satu dunia.

Tarikan utama majlis anjuran CB PICTURES dan SKY EVENTS dengan kerjasama MAHU PICTURES ini ialah tayangan filem LEE CHONG WEI versi tambahan berdurasi 133 minit yang tidak akan ditayangkan di mana-mana pawagam.

Filem berkenaan akan ditayangkan di dalam stadium menggunakan layar gergasi LED berukuran 40 meter X 17 meter, sekali gus menjadikannya sebagai majlis tayangan perdana filem terbesar di Malaysia. Ia dijangka dihadiri sekurang-kurangnya 20,000 penonton dan bakal dicatatkan dalam The Malaysia Book of Records.

Penerbit Eksekutif Filem, Datuk Joe Lee berkongsi, “Chong Wei belum lagi menonton filem berkenaan dan akan menyaksikannya buat pertama kali bersama penonton yang hadir pada majlis yang berlangsung pada 9 Mac. Ia akan menjadi majlis istimewa buat Chong Wei dan semua yang hadir,” katanya.

Dalam majlis berkenaan, peminat juga boleh menyaksikan acara Permaidani Merah sepanjang 100 meter yang mengalu-alukan kedatangan jaguh-jaguh badminton tanah air, para pelakon filem ini serta tetamu selebriti. Pihak penganjur akan turut menjemput skuad badminton Negara yang menjuarai Piala Thomas 1992 ke acara penuh bermakna ini.

Selain itu, penonton juga akan dihiburkan dengan persembahan para penyanyi popular yang bakal diumumkan kelak. Mereka akan menyanyikan lagu-lagu tema filem.

Sekurang-kurangnya 10 gerai penaja akan diadakan di dalam Stadium Nasional dan ia akan bermula sebaik pintu stadium dibuka untuk penonton bermula jam 4 petang pada 9 Mac.

Stesen radio Kool FM telah memperkukuhkan barisan hadapan dengan kemasukan Andy Hakim atau pemilik nama sebenar Ishak Ibrahim yang berpengalaman dalam bidang penyiaran radio. Andy Hakim akan bergandingan bersama Liza dalam Petang Kool, segmen petang Isnin hingga Jumaat dari jam 3.00 petang hingga 7.00 malam, manakala Muaz akan menerajui segmen Pagi Hari di Kool FM (PHD Kool) bersama AG dan Haiza bermula Januari ini, Isnin hingga Jumaat dari jam 6.00 pagi hingga 10.00 pagi.
