Backstreet Boys to perform at the SingaporeNational Stadium on October 21

The concert is the highlight of a week of major entertainment in Singapore around the WTA Finals, with the city serving up smashing action from the greatest stars in women’s tennis at the Singapore Sports Hub from October 22-29, coupled with various exciting lifestyle and entertainment events around town. The Backstreet Boys consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson. The band released their self-titled U.S. debut, “Backstreet Boys” in 1996. The album not only won the group the Best Newcomer and Best Group award at the MTV European Music Awards but also attained the Diamond Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (R.I.A.A.) for sales of more than 10 million copies. “Quit Playin’ Games (With My Heart)”, “As Long As You Love Me” were popular singles, with the former achieving platinum status and the album eventually sold an astounding 14 million copies in America alone. The band went on to release several more award-winning albums such as “Backstreet’s Back (1997)” and “Millennium (1999). 600 Extra Tickets Added To The BACKSTREET BOYS SHOW IN MALAYSIA

BackstreetBoys_KLThe Livescape Group, organisers of the Backstreet Boys’ “In A World Like This” tour live in Malaysia has confirmed that an additional 600 tickets will be added to the show. Earlier tickets were snapped up within 5 days of its sales launch last month. Priority for these limited CAT 2 and CAT 5 tickets, will be given to fans who have been on the waiting list since the show sold out on 6 February. The remainder of the tickets will be available for purchase for customers on The Livescape Group’s database. Invitations to purchase these tickets will be sent out via email.

When the tickets to the show went on sale, the discounted early bird tickets sold out within five minutes and limited Release 1 tickets followed next within 10 minutes. The rest of the normal priced tickets sold out within five days. The organizers, The Livescape Group, has also confirmed that they will not be adding a second show or moving to a bigger venue for this sellout show.

“It’s amazing that the show sold out within 5 days. This is testament to the Backstreet Boys’ popularity and huge following in Malaysia. We have managed to open up more seats to be sold for the show so, hopefully this will give fans who missed out on getting tickets the first time around, a chance to see them live. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to move the show to a bigger venue nor will we add another show to this leg of their tour due to their tight schedules. After successfully completing their Never Gone Tour in 2006, band member Kevin Richardson, left the group to pursue a solo career in singing, modelling, and acting. Nevertheless, the Backstreet Boys continued promotions as a four piece vocal group and released two albums, Unbreakable in 2007 and This Is Us in 2009. In 2012, the group made fans worldwide happy when they announced that Richardson had rejoined the Backstreet Boys permanently. In 2013, the band celebrated their 20th anniversary by releasing their first independent album, In A World Like This.

The world’s best-selling boy band, the Backstreet Boys, will be heading to Malaysian shores as part of their “In A World Like This” tour on 3 May 2015 that will be held at the iconic Stadium Negara. Organized by The Livescape Group, the one-night-only show is set to attract over 6,000 fans of all ages.
